Acting Representative of the WHO Representative in Kyrgyzstan, Ms Tasnim Atatrah: “The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, I cannot help thinking about more than 1.25 million people who died on the world’s roads this year, tens of millions of received serious injuries, about their loved ones. Most of them were young, full of life and hope. All of them were heading somewhere, but they never arrived, becoming victims of traffic accidents that could have been prevented. ”
The press conference dedicated to the World Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Traffic Accidents, was held on November 22 where participants were:

Erkin Checheybayev – Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic
Chinara Kasmambetova – Director of the Public Association “Road Safety”
Nora Suyunalieva – Director of PF “ProLex” named after T. Dzhumakadyrova
Participants noted the need for urgent measures to reduce road fatalities and injuries, the role of road infrastructure, the human aspects of road safety, the problems of implementing state road safety programs, and called to remember the victims of road accidents and to direct all efforts to prevent tragedies on the roads.
